What a professional should check here is not the clean background, it is what did not change: stone count, prong positions, the cut of every diamond, even the natural character inside the centre stones. That is the difference between retouching a photo and generating a different piece.

Professional retouching is a contract: some things must change, some things must never change. These are the controls that enforce it, exactly as they appear in the app.

• Retouch Gemstones toggle. On by default: inclusions and imperfections are polished away for a cleaner stone. Off: the stone keeps its natural look that reads as the actual stone, while metal and background are still cleaned. Jewelers recognize their pieces by their inclusions; this switch protects that.
• The cut stays unless you change it. The Gemstone Cut Selector covers up to three stones per image, 16 stone types and 19 cuts. Leave a cut unselected and the stone keeps the cut as photographed; select one only to change it deliberately or to restore a cut the photo does not show clearly.
• Exact metal and stone colors. Pick a metal color and per-stone colors; your selections override whatever the AI would infer from the photo. Useful when the lighting shifted the gold or the client insists on a specific hue.
• De-banding, with a safety net. An optional pass removes the wave-like banding that can appear on polished metal. You receive both versions, original and de-banded, to compare, because the pass may soften textured surfaces.
• Validation before spending. Each upload is checked before generation: props, tags or shallow depth of field get flagged with a reason instead of producing a doomed result. Only successful generations are charged.
• Variations and retries. Generate up to four variations in one run. Pro members re-run any generation at roughly a third of the normal cost.

Three retouching modes, one rule of thumb

All three carry the same gemstone controls. The difference is how they treat your source.
