What Is the NeuroViz 3D CAD Visualizer?

The NeuroViz 3D CAD Visualizer is a jewelry CAD rendering tool that runs in the browser. It opens JewelCAD, Rhino 3DM, STL, OBJ and GLB files up to 60 MB, shows the model in a real 3D viewer, and renders the views you choose as photorealistic product photos. Select up to four views and one generation returns four finished photos.

You pick one of two render models: Precision keeps every stone, prong and proportion exactly as modelled, and Vivid pushes colour, contrast and lighting for ads and social. Metal, up to three gemstone types and the cut of each stone are set at render time, so one file becomes yellow, white or rose gold, with the cut you choose from a library of more than a hundred, without touching the model.

A Precision render starts at 5 credits and typically runs about 20 (around $0.40 at volume pricing); Vivid is 25. Opening a file, orbiting it, taking snapshots and converting between formats cost nothing.

A second tab, Image to CAD, turns one photo of a real piece into a 3D model. There is no subscription: you buy pay-as-you-go credits and spend them across every NeuroViz tool, and both render models are available through the API.

How Jewelry CAD Rendering Works in NeuroViz (3 Steps, No Sample Required)

Rendering a CAD file used to mean a specialist, a rendering licence and a day of waiting. Here the whole chain runs in your browser. The first two steps cost nothing, and you pay only when you render.

Open Your CAD File

JewelCAD, Rhino 3DM, STL, OBJ, GLB and other common 3D formats, up to 60 MB. What loads is a real 3D viewer, not a static preview: right mouse button to orbit the piece, scroll to zoom. The viewer reads the file and reports what it found, down to the part count, the number of stones and the dimensions in millimetres.

Pick Your Angles

Front, top, side, three-quarter and back views are prepared for you. If none of them shows the piece the way you want, rotate to the view you like and hit Snapshot. Select up to four views and each becomes its own variation: one generation returns four finished photos from four angles.

Set Metal, Stones and Output, Then Render

Choose Precision or Vivid, pick the metal colour, up to three gemstone types and the cut of each stone, and set the resolution from 1K to 4K on white, any solid colour or transparent. The defaults are sensible, so most runs need nothing changed. Finished photos land in your gallery, ready for your store, your line sheet or virtual try-on.

New: Gemstone Cut Selector

Real Facets on Every Stone, Not a Schematic

Most CAD and 3D files carry no real cut on the gemstone. The stone is a placeholder shape that marks where it sits, and a render made from it has to guess the facets. The Gemstone Cut Selector removes the guess: for every gemstone slot you pick the stone and its cut, and the render applies that facet pattern.

It sits on the same panel where you set the metal. Choose diamond and round for the centre stone, or emerald for the centre with round diamonds around it, and the selected cut shows as an image next to the slot before you run. The library holds more than a hundred cuts across the gemstone types the render knows, more are being added, and you can upload your own cut image in Settings for anything unusual.

  • Per stone, not per piece. Up to three gemstone types per render, each with its own cut and colour. An emerald centre with diamond accents is two selections.
  • A preview before you spend credits. The chosen cut is shown as an image next to the slot, so you see the facet pattern the render will follow.
  • Your own cuts. Upload a cut image in Settings and it appears in the selector for every render after that.
  • Prongs already closed toggle. Many CAD files are built with the prongs open. Leave the toggle off and the render closes them over each stone; switch it on when your prongs are already modelled closed.
  • The same selector in the retouchers. The Precision, Rescue and Vivid retouchers carry it too, so a dark, blurred or overexposed stone in a real photo comes back with the right cut and colour.
  • Optional, always. Leave it empty and the render reads the stone from the geometry as before, or describe an unlisted stone in the instructions.
The cut is chosen next to the stone. Diamond, round: the preview shows the exact facet pattern before the render runs. The Prongs already closed toggle sits under the snapshot.

From One Photo to a 3D Model

The second tab reverses the flow. Upload one photo of a real piece and a 3D model comes back, usually in one to three minutes. Spin it, download it, or send it straight back through the renderer to shoot it from angles you never actually captured.

  • One photo in. A single clear photo of the real piece is all the tool needs.
  • Three quality tiers. Standard (512 px model detail) at 60 credits, High (1024 px) at 75, Ultra (1536 px) at 90.
  • Ready in one to three minutes. Then it sits in your CAD library like any other file.
  • Download as STL, OBJ, GLB or 3DM. 3D print it, or hand it to a modeller as a reference.
  • Re-render from new angles. A sold or shipped piece can still be photographed from any side.
  • In the app for now. Image to CAD lives in the second tab of the 3D CAD Visualizer. It is not in the API yet.

One thing worth being straight about. What comes back is a mesh: a detailed, textured 3D surface you can view, render and 3D print. It is not an editable parametric CAD file, and it carries no real-world dimensions, so set the size yourself before printing or casting.

Treat it as a highly accurate visual model and a reference for a CAD modeller, not a replacement for CAD. Nobody can reliably rebuild true CAD from a single photograph today, and we would rather say that now than have you find out later.
