Why did the AI change my jewelry's shape — and how do I prevent it?

Shape drift happens when the AI can't see the piece clearly: the jewelry is small in the frame, both earrings are in one reference photo, or the input is blurry or already heavily edited. Fix the input and the shape holds.
Details
- Crop tight: the piece should occupy most of the frame.
- For earring try-ons, upload one earring as the reference, not the pair — two angles of the same design can confuse the model.
- Select the correct type in the app (hoop / drop / stud / dangle) — the type setting stops the AI from "bending" a design into another category.
- Use a natural, unedited photo. Heavily pre-edited or AI-rendered inputs lack the photographic cues the engine needs and come out looking painted.
- Retouchers don't take structural instructions ("make the chain oval") — for structural changes use Jewelry Modifier Pro.
- If the app shows a warning before you run (cropped piece, multiple items, settings conflict) — fix it first. Warnings exist to save your credits.
